Limitations

This sections gathers all known limitations of External Data for Confluence

Data Source

Due to memory and parsing load on our infrastructure a data source cannot load more than 15MB of data per request. When this limit is reached a request will fail to load properly. If you have a use case where more data is needed, please get in touch with us.

You can create a maximum of 70 different data sources. You can work around this limitation by using variables which makes a data source more versatile.

Paginated data sources allow a maximum of 6 pages to be fetched.

Visual - Template

Due to security reasons we currently don’t allow any custom Javascript logic within templates. You can still work with AUI elements that don’t need extra scripting like the expander.

Panels

You can create a maximum of 150 different panels. You can work around this limitation by using variables which can make a panel more versatile.

XML Support

Not all features work well with XML. To make use of all possible features consider using a JSON data source instead.
