Shutdown of Jamf for Jira

Due to recent developments, we’ve made the difficult decision to shut down the app without a replacement.

This decision was not made lightly, it comes in response to Atlassian's deprecation of the External Asset Platform.

The External Asset Platform is the technical foundation, provided by Atlassian Jira, which Jamf for Jira is built upon. It made it very easy for us to initially implement the app with Jira providing an easy capability to store and manage the assets. Providing a replacement for the External Asset Platform would require significant investments from our development team, which would exceed the initial investment we made when we built the app from scratch.

We will keep supporting the app for as long as possible, depending on the final shutdown date for the External Asset Platform. So far, Atlassian has communicated that it will be available until at least Sep 30 2024 and we will notify our active customers at least 3 months in advance on the license email addresses before the final shutdown of Jamf for Jira and the External Asset Platform takes place.

In case you’re using annual licensing and the app is being shutdown before the end of the maintenance end date, please contact us so we can refund the remaining maintenance period in your favor.
