Extension App Limitations

The External Data for Jira Fields - Extension is built using the Atlassian Forge framework, which includes the following limitations:

Dashboards are not well-supported - https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/FRGE-1128
Non-Extension App Fields can’t be used as dependencies in Service Desk Portal Requests and Extension App Fields can only be used as dependencies when the fields are added via the Field Configuration and not as native fields in the Request form - https://ecosystem.atlassian.net/browse/FRGE-774
Anonymous Jira Service Management users can’t use Extension Fields in the Request Form.

Embedding external image sources is not supported in Extension Info Panels. This will change in the foreseeable future as soon as the Extension app is merged into the main app as part of our migration to Atlassian Forge.
