Why does it take so long for a dependent field to update?

The update of the Dependent Fields happen in the background. An application constantly checks for changes while a user is in the Issue view. The default interval for these checks is 10 seconds. Therefore, the amount of time before the dependent field appears on the screen can vary from 3 seconds to a maximum of 10 seconds. I

f you want to have changes displayed faster, you can lower the interval time to 5 seconds in the Settings > UI Configuration section.

Note: Decreasing this value can significantly increase the traffic to your instance depending on the number of parallel active users.
