A panel defines the complete process from requesting, filtering and displaying your external data. Every panel follows these steps:

  1. Prepare and set variables (optional step)

  2. Request data from external source

  3. Drill & Filter requested data (optional step)

  4. Visualize data

Panel configuration

Before creating a panel make sure you have already created the data source you want to fetch data from. To create a panel click the Add Panel button. A form with the following sections will appear:

  1. Variables

  2. Data Source

  3. Filters

  4. Visuals

Start with adding a name for the panel. Make sure you find a meaningful name to select it later in the content macro.
