We try our best to update dynamic fields as soon as we detect changed data within Jira. Unfortunately, due to some limitations of Jira, a few events might not update dynamic fields immediately:

  • User data changes, e.g. display name or group membership of a user.

  • Any changes to Jira entities like project names, issue-type names, etc.

  • Dynamic fields referencing other dynamic fields are only updated in a subsequent update. It’s best not to rely on this behavior and instead copy the Jira expression from the referred dynamic field.
