Clone Jira Work Management Category Field

Space Clone (Project Clone)

Due to a change in the Jira API, it is currently not possible to clone Category field options with Space Clone (Project Clone). If you wish to clone Category values, you need to create field options manually before cloning the work items. We are investigating alternatives to restore this feature in Deep Clone for Jira.

Space Clone (Project Clone) automates the cloning of Jira Work Management Category field options. By creating the options in the target space (project), the Category field values are also cloned along with the work items. Category colors are not cloned.

Other Clones

To clone the values of the Category field between spaces, the values need to exist as field options in the target space. If these don’t already exist, you need to create the field options manually at least once before cloning your work items, so Deep Clone can set the field values.
