How to Sync Versions Across Spaces (Projects) in Jira

Synchronize versions across spaces (projects) and manage name, description, and release details across many spaces.

After having installed the app from the Atlassian Marketplace, you can start using Version Sync right away!

• Company-managed spaces: Navigate to Spaces > Space settings > Version Sync

• Team-managed spaces: Navigate to Spaces > Space settings > Apps > Version Sync

If no versions are visible in your team-managed space, you have to activate Releases and versioning first: Spaces > Space settings > Features > Releases and versioning

To sync versions between spaces, you can create groups, which contain (source or target) spaces. There are two kinds of groups:

• Two-way sync (all spaces in the group are syncing existing and future versions)

• One-way sync (a “source” space is syncing existing and future versions to “target” spaces).
