We try our best to update dynamic custom fields as soon as we detect changed data within Jira. Unfortunately, due to some limitations of Jira, a few events might not update dynamic custom fields immediately:

User data changes, e.g. display name or group membership of a user.

Any changes to Jira entities like space names, work item type names, etc.

Dynamic custom fields referencing other custom fields are only updated in a subsequent update. It’s best not to rely on this behavior and instead copy the Jira expression from the referred custom field.
